This one’s hard to nail. It’s a video follow-up to my last post and includes some of the background of why I’m doing what I’m doing, but it also addresses the negative feedback I’ve gotten for doing it.
Scattered throughout the rambling might be something worth thinking about. No promises, though. And, yes, I succumbed to the peer pressure and recorded this despite needing to get a haircut and shave.
Here’s the post about the deformed turtle that I mentioned.
Well done.
So sorry for the hard, Charlie. 🙁 I think what you’re doing is admirable.
I’m really sorry that the people who are sniping at you are hurt and mistrustful and unable to process through their stuff right now… but they’re sniping instead of doing something that will really help themselves. Which doesn’t benefit anyone.
It’s tragic.

In the words of many wise men, “You can’t please everyone, so you gotta please your self.” Thanks for helping Haiti, Charlie. I think your actions — doing what you can to help Haiti and taking the high road despite some idiots — are inspiring. I sent my $$$ to Haiti via Americares because I’m not ready for your coaching services yet. When I’m ready, I’ll be back. In the mean time, I’ll continue reading your blog posts, and listening to your interviews (with Dave Navarro, Johnny Truant, etc.) Thanks for your continued awesomeness!
Thanks for this Charlie.
I offered to donate the full fee for a month of my coaching services for a new client to Haiti. I have worried a bit about people thinking it was a marketing ploy. It was not. I will get that client anyway. That fee will come anyway. That I want it to go to help such a horrific situation is good for me, and good for my new client, and good for whoever in Haiti may be helped.
And gosh, even if it WAS a marketing ploy, if it gets more money for victims, isn’t that what matters?
I don’t see it as a negative thing…I love what Danielle has started, I love what Kelly has started, I love what you have offered, I love what I have offered.
Honored to “know” you.

charlie,
i have even heard of people “making themselves feel better” with the red cross text thing, when they could/should do more. really? it would be so cool and we could all get so much done if we did what we can, when we can, in our own way. at least i came across your blog this way ( : maybe others will too. peace and love, tracy
Bravo!!! You have given what you have, that is just what the ancient texts recommend.
