What If You Had The Opportunity To Do Things Differently?
Average. Status quo. Complacent. If you read those in distaste, you're not alone. There's nothing about any of those terms that motivates you to jump out of bed in the morning, ready to change the world. When you're a kid, you've got big dreams of becoming someone amazing, but as you get older, society starts to push its thumb down on you. Slowly but surely, you give up those dreams in the name of a steady paycheck, fitting in, and growing up. And then the unhappiness sets in, until finally you hit your breaking point. Charlie knew there had to be more. Life is too short to not live up to your true potential. Angela knew there had to be more to life than the world of academia and teaching students who were only there to get the credit and get out. Lisa knew there there had to be more to life than punching a clock everyday for someone who didn't appreciate what she did. Dusti knew there had to be more to life than slinging drinks at coffee shops and pursuing a degree she had no idea how she was going to use.
And each one of us chose to pursue our full potential.
If you haven't seen the trailer for "I'm Fine, Thanks" yet, then you've been missing out. Adam Baker interviewed Charlie for the project, and we're excited to be a part of it. These guys are on their way to having the most backed Kickstarter project of all time, and you have the chance to be a part of it. Here's the blurb for the film.
I'm Fine, Thanks is a new, feature-length documentary about complacency. It's a collection of stories about life, the choices we all make, and the paths we ultimately decide to follow. We examine the factors that motivate and drive our major life choices. And, most importantly, whether or not the path we follow through life - and the habits we form based on that path - are truly connected with who we really are as individuals. This is a movie about the moment people realize the life they're living is not the life that's true to their heart... and, as a result, what they decide to do about it!
Adam is a great guy, and he consistently produces high quality work. This documentary isn't an exception, and we look forward to seeing the final product. Remember, the project won't be funded unless they reach their funding goal, as per Kickstarter's guidelines. Check out the project here and start ending complacency.
