Love Is Your True Home
Who do you love? Can you love all people? Will you?
What do you love? Can you love all things? Will you?
How do you love? Can you love gently? Will you?
Can you love fiercely? Will you?
Love is gentle; it is also fierce. It can show up as a cry, as a laugh, as a shout, as a whisper.
At times a softer, gentler love is what is called for. In other times, a giant, fierce love is what is needed.
We are all being challenged in our lives. So much is calling for our attention. We see and feel the fear, the uncertainty, the pain, the rage, the unrest… and perhaps we can also see and feel some hope.
I want to remind you that love is your true home. Where we lead with love, love will endure.
Even in the absolute darkest and most outrageous of times we can choose to show up with love. That is where and when love is most needed.
Where you are unable to love, you suffer; all beings suffer.
Let me be very clear, to stay in love does not mean we abdicate our responsibility to ourselves and our fellow humans and this beautiful world that holds us. It does not mean we stay silent. It does not mean we give lip service and stay in inaction.
Love in action is the most beautiful thing to behold. You have the power to transform with love. Staying in love is what allows you to show up as your highest self and make a lasting positive impact.
Let all things be fuel for love. Let it stoke your internal fire and keep you grounded in your true home — your heart.
If you have moved away from your heart, how might you be able to move back in? Is there a place or person you can connect to that allows you to return to your true home?
If you are feeling grounded in love, how can you support yourself in staying there? How do you continue to stay tuned in to that frequency?
Love is your true home. It’s what you most need. It’s what the world most needs.
Today, I leave you with this last question:
What does love in action look like for you?
