Because I Grieve
What is within you that is in need of acknowledgment? What is asking to be seen? For me, today, it is grief.
Of all the emotions I have felt in my lifetime, grief feels unlike any other in the all-encompassing nature of it. It can feel like so much. So big. At times even more than I think I can carry.
The truth is I don’t need to carry my grief, though. My grief can carry me. It can carry me back into the light.
Because I grieve I know I am alive.
Because I grieve I know I have loved.
Because I grieve I know I have cared.
Because I grieve I know I have seen the light.
Because I grieve I know I have had good in my life.
Because I grieve I know I have been in relation.
Because I grieve I know I have seen beauty.
Because I grieve I know I have been blessed.
Because I grieve I know I am alive.
Grief does not need to feel like a threat. I need to allow it the space it needs, not fight it.
I am allowing grief to lay me bare and it is showing me just how blessed I have been to have had the love and light in my life, and that it is not gone. I am still surrounded by blessings and have tremendous love and light in my life.
Dear one, what is within you that is in need of acknowledgment? What is asking to be seen? Whether it is grief or something else entirely, trust that what is asking for your attention is only there to support you on your path. Will you give it the space it needs?
