The 2016 Premium Planners, the 2016 Essential Daily Planner, and the 2016 Momentum Kickstarter Kit are now available!

The 2016 Planner Lineup

Since this year’s lineup has different options than previous years’, I want to highlight them all here for new and prior customers alike. Here’s what we have for you:

  • The 2016 Premium Planner set for $18 — It includes our digital Momentum Planner set and digital Project Planner set. We’re including 2015’s planners with your purchase until the end of the year. Get your 2016 Premium Planners here or read more about them here.
  • The 2016 Essential Daily Planner for $44 — This is our popular, handy-for-traveling printed planner that has everything you need as a dashboard for tracking your best work. Free shipping to the U.S. and Canada. Get your 2016 Essential Daily Planner here or read more about it here.
  • The 2016 Momentum Kickstarter Kit for $59 — This is by far the best value and the place to start if you’re new, as it includes the 2016 Premium Planners, the 2016 Essential Daily Planner, and Email Triage. Free shipping to the U.S. and Canada; you’ll get your digital products immediately. Get your 2016 Momentum Kickstarter Kit here or read more about it here.

2016’s Themes Are Simplicity and Clarity

Every year, we focus on a theme or area of focus when we’re developing the next season’s planners. This year’s areas of focus are simplicity and clarity — if you’ve ever created products or art, you know that it’s easier to add than to subtract, but often subtraction is what makes the work better. So it was with this year’s planners and product lines.

In 2015, we released printed versions of the planners because people kept asking, over the years, if we would produce them. We did, and sales were much lower than expected. There are a lot of reasons for that that I could perhaps discuss another day, but for 2016, we pulled all of the printed planners except for the Essential Daily Planner.

We also pulled the Blog Planners from the Premium Planners because I have so much other material about content creation and publishing that we’re going to create a dedicated product for it. I’ve been coaching and teaching people how to do content marketing and communication for years and I’m looking forward to sharing some of that material with you. The Blog Planner and Calendar will still be available for free on the Free Planners page.

Lastly, we’re no longer going to be selling Living the Good Life, so it’s coming out of the Momentum Kickstarter Kit, but we’re adding the Essential Daily Planner so the Momentum Kickstarter Kit is more focused on helping you get and keep momentum on your best work.

While it’s always hard to pull back on product lines, I’m hopeful that the changes are going to make it much easier for you to find the tools we’ve created to help you do your best work.

The Duplicating Text Problem Is Fixed in the Fillable Forms!

When we started making the fillable versions of the planners, there was no way to avoid text duplication besides going through and renaming thousands of fields. So I had to go back and rethink the problem, and I found a solution with Acrobat’s portfolio maker.

The only catch here is that you’ll have to use Adobe Reader if you want to use the fillable versions that don’t duplicate. We have the fillable versions clearly marked, and we have other fillable versions that you can use without Adobe Reader.

So, yes, you can just use the one fillable annual set of whichever version you want now.

Happy planning!

Is there a way to actually see what the planner looks like?

Hi. This is the exact same question I had after looking all over the site for an actual photo of a planner – not the pages, but the physical product. I also want to know about the product – what type of paper is used? Does it lay flat? How big is it?

Hi Karen 🙂 The Premium Planners are digital 8.5″ x 11″. You can fill them out on your computer or print them out if you prefer. The Essential Daily Planner is our physical product. It’s 5″x8″x1/2″. It is spiral-bound, has a laminated cover, a vinyl back and is printed on quality paper. You can see a video of Charlie with the actual product on the Essential Daily Planner page. Does that help?
