When preparing to record today’s episode, I got really nervous and was unsure what questions I would ask my long-time mentor Seth Godin. After an office mixup distracted me, we ended up recording today’s conversation, riffing on a topic Seth brought up in our pre-podcast chit-chat. Turns out the best plans are ones that are flexible.
While the audio quality is not what it could or should be, the topic of today’s conversation was so inspiring to me personally that I couldn’t not share it with you. Besides, that would be using audio quality as an excuse to delay something I’ve been preparing to release for a year. Sound familiar?

About Seth Godin:
Seth Godin is the author of 17 books that have been bestsellers around the world and have been translated into more than 35 languages. He writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership, and most of all, changing everything. You might be familiar with his books Linchpin, Tribes, The Dip, and Purple Cow.
In addition to his writing and speaking, Seth has founded several companies, including Yoyodyne and Squidoo. His blog is one of the most popular in the world. In 2013, Godin was inducted into the Direct Marketing Hall of Fame, one of three chosen for this annual honor.
