Thanks for submitting a question for this month’s MMC.
In order to answer your question to the best of our ability, we’d like to request that you have access to a microphone during the call. This way, we can talk back and forth and work through your question interactively. Believe me, it’s much more useful for the both of us when we can talk to each other. Then I don’t have to play a guessing game and you get to add in disclaimers, qualifiers and ask more clarifying questions. The hope is you not only get your question(s) answered thoroughly, but you have a better understanding of the problem you’re trying to solve so that next time you know where to start and you save time. That’s what being more productive is all about.
So, you have two options for microphone use through our Monthly Momentum Calls. We use Zoom to conduct the calls.
Option 1: Use your computer mic and speakers
If you’re planning on sitting at your computer for the call, make sure you have access to a reliable microphone and speaker system. Your computer’s built-in mic is fine, although we recommend you have a headset. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy, your iPhone earbuds will do nicely.
You can also set up an external mic if you have access to one for better sound quality.
1. Log into Zoom on your computer by clicking on the link in your MMC reminder email from Zoom.
2. Once you’re logged into the meeting, choose computer Mic & Speakers at the top of your control panel as your preferred audio option.
3. You’re all set up and you’ll be able to speak when we unmute you!
Option 2: Call in with your phone
The thing about this option is you still need to log into the meeting on your computer to access an audio pin that will enable your phone as a recognized audio device. The pin shows up on your computer screen once you’ve connected to the meeting.
1. Log into Zoom on your computer by clicking on the link in your MMC reminder email from Zoom.

4. The Zoom control panel on your computer screen with show you a unique audio pin that you’ll enter on your phone to access audio through your phone for the meeting.

Thanks again for submitting a question and for your dedication to productivity! We appreciate you taking the extra effort to show up and to prepare in advance in regards to your audio options. We’ll see you on the call.
