If there is one thing we can be certain about during these uncertain times, it’s this; summer in the northern hemisphere is just about here and, baby, we deserve it. A global pandemic can stop a lot of things, but it can’t stop the sun kissing your face during a long breezy day or sitting around a campfire on a warm summer night. Whether you’re lounging in your back yard or kickin’ it at a park (respectfully 6-feet away from other groups, of course), we need this season of peace, ease, and warmth now more than ever.
And like anything during these bizarre days, things are still looking a little, or a lot, different. Your kids have been home (as if you needed a reminder), and Summer WFH Fridays may look like Summer WFH Monday-through-Fridays for the foreseeable future. Even if you’re still getting the hang of setting healthy boundaries – with your family, your co-workers, or yourself – taking the time to structure your days so you can get your most important work done, and determining what you can reasonably save for tomorrow, is crucial in keeping those summertime relaxation moments sacred. Because why work hard if you can’t play even harder?
