The shortest month of the year can sometimes feel like the longest. The excitement of the holidays is long gone, and the anticipation of longer days and warmer temps (for us in the Northern Hemisphere and, particularly the Pacific Northwest, that is) can seem daunting. Motivation may be low, and feelings of frustration and anxiety can start to creep in as we begin to tell ourselves, “I’m not doing enough.”
But guess what? You are doing enough. Don’t forget that anything that takes your time, energy, and attention is a project that needs to be factored into your schedule. So pencil in your morning meditation, that noon yoga class, or Taco Tuesdays with your friends (hey, can I come?). By taking care of your physical and mental health, you can better take care of the business side of your life and get back on your feet, strategize, and continue on your path to success.
