I think there are a few people who would roll with it, and others who wouldn't. There are so many people who are anti-paid post, and I can't say that I blame them. Part of me misses the blogging world the way it used to be, but even when I read the blogs that seem "non-commercial", if I look deeper I can see the affiliate connections or businesses that people have built around the blog. Oh, and some people are way sneakier about doing PPP than I am. They write a post and just sneak the link in there and you have no idea that it is a paid post. Those blogs do better, I think.

I think you should do whatever the heck you want. It's your blog. Although, it sounds like your goal is to build community. In that case, I wouldn't change a thing except bringing your voice here whenever you feel like it--meaning, bring on the comment posts, etc.

Bloggrrl's last blog post..How to Make Money Blogging Without Being Annoying
