Welcome, Ittybiz Readers!
Thanks for coming to check Productive Flourishing out! There’s a lot here, so I wanted to take a second to show you around.
First, though, subscribe to the blog by RSS or by Email if you like what you see here. You might also want to sign up for the newsletter using the form in the sidebar to your right.
If you’d like to have a coherent view of what goes on here, check out my New Here? page.
If you’d like to put some structure around your creative mojo, jump on over to check out the Free Planners. They’re pretty popular with creative folks and freelancers. That page explains a bit more about what’s going on – I hope they help.

We live in an ideal time to be creative entrepreneurs and we’re seeing a rebirth in entrepreneurial thinking now that creative people can do what they love and put food on the table without working in a cubicle. This series discusses these changes, why it benefits us, and what you’ll need to survive.
“Start with small steps! It doesn’t have to be perfect!”…so productivity gurus say.
Want to see how this actually works in context? Once we question some of our assumptions, we see how much we’re in our own way.
It’s easy to undervalue whatever it is that you do, and it’s high time that you look at why you’re doing it so you can stop.
You’ve got cool ideas. People need them. But before people can get them, you have to stop the pattern of shuffling from one thing to the next.
Wondering what you’ll do when your business is all grown up? Maybe it’s time to start asking yourself a different question.
At the end of the day, creative people need to create, connect, and consume – and making sure you cover these bases doesn’t have to be so damn hard. Think about how this feeds in to your business.
I’m glad you came and hope you find your visit worthwhile. Thanks!

On the wall next to my recliner where I sit with my laptop is an index card with three large words: create, connect, and consume.
I had forgotten where I got them, but see now, it must have been from you.
The words about how Shakespeare wrote make so much sense for modern writers. Thanks.
