I really enjoyed this post, and I'd be *extremely* interested in how this system has evolved for you over the years. I love the multiple paper notebook approach, especially since seeing how your paper planners have improved my overall workflow this last month or so. One of the few remaining weak points in my system is definitely my paper maps and note-taking process.

Wow, talk about typos, sorry about that. The whiteboard helps *me to get thoughts and ideas out, organize them with to-do tasks for the day, etc. And the multiple notebooks seems like a great way to organize all of it in the places that it happens so I"m not wasting time searching for what I'm looking for.

Hey Charlie, I really like the scaffolding idea. Now that I read it like this, I find that I work the exact same way.

I now have the entire top half of the wall of my office painted with whiteboard paint to put my ideas out in front of my, draw, organize, etc. Utilizing multiple notebooks to keep tasks organized better than my current whiteboard/to-do bookmark folder lol.

And I'm curious to know how ruby on rails is going? When I was doing computer tech support I had started to learn it but had to direct my attention to other work and never came back to it.
Thanks for the great post.

@ Girlpie: Now that you mention it, it's funny how many people try roofing projects from inside with screwdrivers. Wouldn't it be easier to do it from the outside with hammers?
