Lots of people promise rapid business growth but even in those rare cases where they do deliver the growth, they rarely address whether you’re actually better off for the growth. Whether it’s the revenue vs. profit distinction or the life vs. business dilemma, the whole package isn’t considered.
If your business is growing but you’re not better off – personally, professionally, and financially – something is awry.
I’ve been working with entrepreneurs, founders, and small business owners for nearly a decade to make sure their businesses work better – for them, their teammates, their customers, and their ecosystem. I’m a cross between a business architect and a business mechanic; I design business models to fit your goals and I make the business you have work better. My knacks are strategy execution, positioning, team-building, and strategic customer development.
But you probably aren’t reading this page thinking “I have a strategy execution problem.” You’re more likely coming with questions like:
- Strategy questions: What’s the best way to achieve my business goals and, knowing that, how the hell do I go about doing it?
- Marketing and sales questions: How do I create something that makes me and my business stand out so our right people find us and become customers? And how do I get them to buy it?
- Operations questions: What systems, processes, workflows, and practices do I need so that I can work smarter and more profitably?
- Money questions: How do I make the best use of the money I’m earning to grow the business, pay myself, and build long-term wealth?
- Leadership and management questions: How do I find, hire, train, integrate, pay, and lead the right people – and the right amount of people – to run and grow the business?
Just about any challenge or opportunity you face will fall into one of those core buckets. I’m one of those rare business strategists and thinkers whose genius is being able to see the forest AND the trees simultaneously. More importantly, though, I’m able to co-create real, relevant, and doable solutions for you. There’s very little “one size fits all” nonsense, as well, because that approach builds common, unremarkable, me-too businesses that don’t work for their owners.
You might be wondering why I chose 3x growth rather than the more audacious 10x. Two reasons: 1) I don’t make promises I can’t keep and 2) 10x pushes a bias for certain types of businesses, many of which people don’t actually want to be in or own. Sure, many of my clients experience more growth than 3x from our work together, but it comes as a happy byproduct of the core work we’re doing.
I have a few different programs that address your needs in different ways. I look forward to supporting you; really, I love what I do and the people I get to do it with. Reach out if you have any questions.
Services & Programs
Momentum Accelerator Consultation – $1500
A Momentum Accelerator Consultation is a 90-minute session where we identify, strategize, and build a plan to address the biggest growth challenge or opportunity for your business. You’ll walk away with individualized insights and strategies that you can start putting into place right away to accelerate the momentum of your business.
Momentum Intensive – $1500 per month (minimum)
The Momentum Intensive program is for you if you’re ready to dig in and get some serious momentum in your business. I’ll work one-on-one with you for six months on your most high-value opportunities and high-priority challenges. We break through plateaus, solve long-term problems, and typically set the stage to 3x your business. (Why not 10x? Because that type of growth is a good sell but not sustainable for most people.)
Two-Day Strategy Retreats – $7500 (minimum)
If you’re looking to get clarity, momentum, and results fast, working with me for two days is your best bet. We’ll do a business audit, prepare a strategic roadmap, and work through the specifics of what steps you’ll need to take to implement the roadmap. Up to 3 other teammates may join us. Most clients choose to be treated by us in Portland, Oregon, but we’ll discuss whether it’s better for you to host me.
Businesses in the $1M–$10M revenue range (or with more than 100k subscribers) are in the messy middle between founder-centric and systems-centric, but the founder’s reaching the end of their ability to drive the car like Fred Flintstone (it moves only when their feet are peddling). You may not quite feel comfortable with calling yourself an executive, but you’re facing executive challenges more so than purely entrepreneurial challenges. Learn more here.

Charlie has a wicked genius at catching people exactly where they are – sometimes when they don’t want him to catch them there – and coaxing them into stepping into their fullest potential and then co-creating a doable, understandable roadmap for growth. If you get a chance to work with Charlie, whether in a group or one-on-one, jump at it while you can. – Jonathan Fields, JonathanFields.com
Before I started working with Charlie, I had a vision of a focused business that could make a difference and actually help people. Unfortunately, I did not know how to get there. Charlie helped me accurately assess my business and clearly define the path to get to my vision. With Charlie’s expertise and tools, I not only achieved my goal, but gained more free time to spend with family and give back to my community. We set a financial goal to double my business revenues by the end of the year. Instead of doubling, my revenues actually multiplied five times! – Chris O’Byrne, JETLAUNCH.net
Charlie intuitively knows exactly where you are (and have been) and can always be counted on to offer profound, useful insights in a way that is nonjudgmental, clear, and relatable (and fun). He lives his mission of helping others “start finishing what matters.” Charlie’s skills as a coach and an entrepreneur are very impressive, but it’s his heart, integrity, compassion, and generosity that make him one of my favorite coaches (and people) and a trusted “go-to” resource. – Shahrzad Arasteh, careerconsultmd.com
Even better than knowing what to do, Charlie helped me decide what not to do. By asking my insightful questions about what I wanted my business to do, I avoided so much wasted effort. We hit six-figure growth in the first year out of my job because of Charlie’s help. – Cory Huff, theabundantartist.com
If you’ve ever read Charlie’s body of work, it’s obvious that he comes with a wealth of experience, tools, and frameworks that helps people focus on what matters, but it’s his warmth, passion, service ethic, and ability to compassionately challenge our participants that really makes all of difference. I don’t just recommend Charlie to other people – when I need someone to help me navigate my own business’s growth, he’s one of the first people I call. – Pam Slim, PamelaSlim.com
