That sucks. I've done the same thing. I was getting worn out from working too hard at my day job then going home and working on my blog. It was late on a Thursday the wife had gone to bed and I was rushing trying to get my work done. I got up to grab a book that I highlighted a passage in and jammed my little toe in the corner of the shelf. I muffled my scream so not to wake my baby and wife. I took that as a sign to brush my teeth and go to bed.

I like that you took the approach of learning from the signals that were there but you decided to ignore. We have to adjust to the subtle signals that life gives us.

OUCH! I had a similar experience a while back. It does get better eventually, but yes, it's not fun. I really appreciate your philosophical outlook. Most folks would just complain about the pain, frustration, and embarrassment. It takes a real man to turn this sort of thing into life lessons.

Be well my friend!

Oh-ho, wow. I, too, have found myself pushing and pushing when there are better pickings elsewhere. Sending you fast healing vibes. I bet by the time your face feels better, the rushing / frustrating stuff will be feeling better, too. Thinking about you, dude!
