Great post Ali - endings are important - I always feel jipped at the end of movies with stupid endings...like something is missing.

I once spent 60 days on a retreat and at the end we had a campfire and people shared what they learned/will remember from people - I really liked that!

End of hte day is important too - I am a reader, so I try to fill my head with positive info before I drift into dream land :-)

I love that ending! :-)

I find it's easy to look at the big picture but let the day-to-day level slip ... and my feeling is that the day-to-day stuff is what, over a lifetime, really makes the difference

Beautiful post, Ali. And I look fondly back on our last bash at SXSW, too!

Tonight I'm going to end my day snuggling with my honey, watching a favorite show. Then I like to recap the days events briefly in my journal.

Planning on making it to Blog World - maybe I can cook up another party. :)

And to zoom out to the maximum, there's that one piece of advice that you hear every once in a while: think about what you'd like your own funeral to be like and how you'd like people to remember you, and live your life accordingly.

Not some everyone would like to muse about, but it's certainly taking an ending into consideration!

I love this concept! I think I'm ending my days in all the wrong ways and am off to brainstorm a better way to both end and start my days on a high note. Thanks.
