@ Victoria Secrets Models: I saw this photo and knew instantly I had to use it. It took some editing to make it fit, but the original author deserves all the credit.

@ QRW: I've actually made people uncomfortable when I've turned my phone off when I'm with them. They've given me that "what am I supposed to do...I can't...but I don't want to..." look when they realized what I was doing it and why.

Thanks for the meta-commentary, too. Writing for two people is better than writing for one...

Fantastic stuff, Charlie. I'm a big fan of the "unplug when you're with them." It drives me batty when I see people connecting with their friends/family who keep their bluetooth set on. How rude! By ignoring the blackberry and other stimuli when you're with friends, you demonstrate how important they are. It's so simple, but increasingly forgotten in today's plugged in world.

I'm definitely going to keep this list handy. It seems so easy to unconsciously lose touch with friends, and not make the rare times you hang something important. You've given a great reminder of ways to prevent that, and to show your friends how important they are.

On a general note - again, I'm wowed by this new series. Your posts are so well thought out and insanely useful. Terrific job!
